I’m sick of hearing the rubbish rising from the sewers in the run up to the UK referendum on the EU. Really sick. Hollie’s poem is as powerful and relevant today as ever.
I loved this poem and Hollie’s performance of it. Those words on the screen – are they by any chance generated by voice recognition software? Only they kind of…descend into gobbledygook…fairly often? I quite enjoyed the parallel versions and felt sorry for the ‘babelfish’ which was making such heroic efforts to keep up… 🙊
I just embedded the YouTube video for the post, and don’t get any “gook” when I watch it. So maybe that is some setting you have on your PC/in YouTube? Glad you liked it 🙂
Next month she is doing a performance in Bradford which is quite exciting 🙂 She won the UK National Poetry slam and came third in the world poetry slam.
